Step 1

Pick a colorful designed duct tape; we used these adorable owls. Using your precision knife and ruler, cut out two 10-inch strips.

Step 1

Step 2

Overlap the two 10-inch strips to form a strip that is 3 inches wide. Set this aside.

Step 2

Step 3

Take your second design of duct tape and cut out an 8-inch strip. Fold it in half lengthwise. It’s a little tricky but starting from the ends makes it easier.

Step 3a

Step 4

Using the same second design of duct tape, cut out a 40-inch strip. Fold this in half lengthwise as well. This step requires patience and steady hands.

Step 4

Step 5

Take your piece of duct tape from step 2 and flip it over so that the adhesive side is now facing up. Place the short strap from step 3 in a “U” shape on the bottom as shown.

Step 5

Step 6

Do the same “U” shape alignment with the long strap. The two straps should cross level so the water bottle sits firmly. Set aside.

Step 6

Step 7

Repeat steps 1 and 2 with two 9-inch strips (9 x 3 inch). Place this piece over the 10 x 3 inch piece from step 6 starting in one corner. You will have 1 inch excess showing.

Step 7a

Step 8

Tape the ends of the strips together using the excess 1-inch section. This keeps your holder as one fluid piece.

Step 8

Step 9

Use your compass to trace and scissors to cut a small circular piece to adhere the bottom straps together. We placed our cute owl in front and center.

Step 9a

Step 10

Grab a cool water bottle and a good friend, and go out on an adventure! Have fun and stay hydrated!
